Ten Rings

The ring is a token of love and wearing it on different fingers has different meanings. For this reason, I have tried ten different designs——

Thumb: The Sun and The Moon   Venus

A ring is worn on the thumb to represent power and status. The sun is as fulgent as the moon symbolizes gender equality; Venus, without a doubt, is the most attractive planet.

Index Finger: The Fire & 南(Nan)

A ring is worn on the index finger to signify somebody unmarried or wanting to get married. “南国有佳人,容华若桃李(It means “in the southland there’s a belle still, like peach and plum flowers so bright.”” in Chinese can mean both south and a person's name. In addition, “ That mild-mannered good girl, awake, asleep, I search for her.” (“窈窕淑女,君子好逑) From these two ancient Chinese poems, I got a key word "unrequited love". Imagine a young man wrapping around his right index finger, not only to adore her but even to marry her. He is anxious as if the heart is burnt  because he was afraid to tell her.

Middle Finger: A Pair of Lovebirds & A Lonely Bird

A ring worn on the middle finger to indicate being in love or engaged. There are those who are in love and those who are lovelorn. The former is often inseparable, while the latter is always alone.

Ring FingerTaurus & Capricorn

Married people usually wear a ring on their ring finger and there is no couple who does not expect to grow old together. Thus, in this design, I chose to make the two earth signs ——Taurus and Capricorn into a  pair of wedding rings to bless a good marriage. Apparently, this is the ring choosing the owner!

Little Finger:  Tail Rings

Since people who wear tail rings are either celibate(left pinky) or single(right pinky), I deliberately emphasized the "circle" in the design. I use a variety of circles to interpret different life. There is a reverse gourd on the left tail ring, which means "wellbeing"; The ring on the right is the leading symbol of Pi, representing a circle with a diameter of one. Marriage is a choice, and it has nothing to do with happiness.
